you know what sucks?

vacuum cleaners! *insert fake laughs here*

Anyway, shit *does* happen, but hey, that's life.

So long story short: I got my laptop stolen :D But wanna hear something funny? I'm not that sad. I mean, sure, I lost lots of info I had there, but that made me realize that first, ALWAYS keep at least 2 backups (My backup got stolen as well haha), and second, that I have very good friends that cheered me up... And now? well, life smiles again :P

The only shitty thing is that i have to write and download lots of things :/

Anyway, that was just a short post to let know that I'm not dead, just afk for a while :P

Cheers!

I can't change >_<

So this isn't news.

I have a test in 12 hours, and as always, I started to study last night (I did nothing on the whole weekend). Ok, I'm kinda used to that (do everything at the last minute), but believe me, this procrastinating shit is killing me.

With some friends, we decided to do an all-night study session, which ended not that good (for me at least). The thing is that I have this amazing ability to lose interest in what i'm doing. Put a laptop with wifi beside me and there you go, you got 8 hours of doing nothing, chatting, and a new post on my blog.

So what's the point of this? I have no clue :D, but I'd like to know that there are lots of stuff out there, things waiting to be read, songs waiting to be listened to, conversations waiting to happen, people waiting to be met...

Ok, that sounded cheesy, but who cares, I'm kinda sleepy right now, and still have some hours to keep procrastinating, hopefully I'll be able to study a bit and get a decent grade. The thing is being able to handle myself :D

A Classic of all times...

The other day I was studying (Well, actually that day is today, actually, I'm supposed to be studying now). The thing is, that in the middle of my usual Procrastination, I remembered this really cool mid-90's song, "Your Woman" from White Town (whose Lead Singer I thought was a girl, and not a guy as it is (in fact, the whole group is just one dude)).

Anyway, since I'm already wasting some time (proper wasting :D), I told myself "why not", and searched the video on YouTube.

Long story short, here's the video:

Bloody Week

What a weird week.

Have you ever felt without luck? I think that this week Murphy has been laughing the whole time, watching how things can go wrong when they could >_>.Ok, not *all* that bad, it had nice days.

For Example, Tuesday was one of those days when you feel alive. We had this gig yesterday (I'll talk about it later), so decided to have a rehearsal the whole day, and although I had classes, I decided not to go (you know, for the sake of the band hahah). So we found ourselves traveling towards Pancho's house (where we rehearse), on a beatiful day, without any responsability. It made me think about the last days of a School year, December, nice days, nothing to do, just going out and have some fun... (Shit I'm becoming old >_<). As soon as we arrived, things *magically* started going funny. First, my amp died. I plugged it, turned the switch on, and nothing happened. Ok, I said, as shit happens. Well, the rehearsal was super, we played like 5 hours, got really tired and went home.

At night, I went out with Angela and some friends, including this taiwanese dude who was in town visiting her and another friend of mine. Funny thing, this chinese dude speaks kinda funny (though he's been in Chile for 10 years already), I got really drunk and ended teaching bad words and stuff. The girls loved me for doing that (actually, no, they scolded me and shit). The highlight was when we were leaving at 4am, and we were going to pick up Natalia, who couldn't come (she was doing a homework haha). So we were in the car, and suddenly I started to feel sick. Real sick. Like, i had to open the window to get some air. You can imagine that I left this real nice image, mostly because I had to admit that I couldn't be able to endure the whole trip, so they took me home first. Such a gentleman.

As nothing can go good always, the very next day i got this call from Pancho (the dude whose House we use to rehearse), and basically told me that my guitar broke. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the very same guitar that made your afternoons in Berlin enjoyable is now dead (at least for the time being). Damn.

Well, besides that, I managed to finish the damned project I ranted about before. In fact, it went really smooth, we got a 7 (maximum score), that made me happy (friday). That day we had the biggest gig of this Semester, or at least that was the plan. We even got mentioned on local TV and stuff, we were really looking forward to it. So we arrived at the venue, and started to wait for the Sound crew. And waited. And waited more. You see, in the end the fuckers arrived really late (like 2 hours later), you could say that the crew "screwed" us (Principito-like joke), moreover the dicks brought bad equipment, had to call back, and they were taking the job really light. Ok, at this point we were like worried, because the thing was going really slow. On the other hand, we were only invited to play (we were supporting some friends who were launching their new video), but still.
In the end, the show had to be canceled, because the jerks of the sound crew took too long, and we wouldn't be able to start not even in time (Imagine, the gates were supposed to be opened at 6pm, and at 6.15 they hadn't even installed the microphones on stage). It made me really angry, for 3 reasons:
First, It is always the same shit. The guys at Sono (the name of the sound providers) ALWAYS come late, with bad things, and their guys are shitty soundmen. Second, I really wanted to play. We had new songs, and it was a great opportunity for us, because there were lots of Press invited. Third: It spoiled our plan for a surprise party. You see, the plan was that this friend of mine would go to the gig, and later I'd walk her home. Meanwhile, my other friends would set up the party, and well, as in the movies, "surprise" and so on. So suddenly, the whole Plan fell apart, because now there was no distraction any more, so my friend basically went home haha.

Anyway, I walked out of the venue really down, went home and then waited a bit before going to Nata's house (I assumed that the surprise party was over, and now just a normal party). Or not. I arrived, and a flatmate of hers told me that the thing was still going on, so I couldn't just go inside. Ok I thought, and then I started to call my other friends (The ones who were preparing the party). Then I realized that I had almost nobody's number, and the ones I had, didn't answer. Fuck. As i didn't want to go home (after all, the thing was supposed to start soon), I went to the supermarket that was near, hoping the guys would be still buying. As you may imagine, they were not there. Nor in the other supermarket near. So I found myself walking in circles for say, half an hour. If someone taped me, it would have looked really lame, as I was still down. You know, lame like a sad B-Movie. Anyway, at last I got a call, and I was able to meet with my friends, in order to prepare the "surpriseless" party.

We went to Nata's apartment, she was gone, thanks to a friend that got her out, although that was a bit suspicious (say, how'd you like to go out and get a coffee at 9pm? on the day that everybody has been out?).
So we finally set up the party, and waited. Long. You see, we were supposed to call our man out there (Fli), but his cellphone fails sometimes, and well, now was one of those times. As we had no way to call him, we ended calling Nata (the one who the party was for), something like "hey, ehm, could you come over to your apartment? Why? ehm, no reason at all".

When she arrived, we *tried* to remain still. I say *try* because Chialung (our taiwanise fellow), wouldn't shut up. He was with a camera, running from side to side looking for something. You see, that's no problem, but the idea of a surprise party, is, as the name suggest it, to create a *surprise*, and as you may guess, part of it is keep silence >_>. Finally, she opened the door, and "Surprise!", hugs, happy birthday song, cake, and booze. (BTW, I REALLY needed some booze D:)

The rest of the night was lovely though. Booze does wonders to me, suddenly I didn't feel sad anymore, and was able to be the happy being I usually am. We got out to this Pub, had a Pitcher, watched some drunk girls dance on a table showing their ass (Well, I wasn't there, god what a bad timing to take a leak). We came back at ~5am, ate some cake (oh it was sweet), and then I fell asleep. On the Floor. I woke up later with the heat (Oh Berlin, how i remember those days), then said goodbye, and then went home.

Anyway, as you may now see, the week wasn't thaat bad, and I learned that booze and good company is a great way to keep sadness away.

Cheers!

random thoughts...

so the other day i was thinking about life, and this thingy i read once came to my mind... How many times has this happened to you? I find this so funny :D

A woman has a close male friend. This means that he is probably interested in her, which is why he hangs around so much. She sees him strictly as a friend. This always starts out with, you're a great guy, but I don't like you in that way. This is roughly the equivalent for the guy of going to a job interview and the company saying, You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. And if he doesn't work out, we'll hire somebody else, but still not you. In fact, we will never hire you. But we will call you from time to time to complain about the person that we hired.

thx to bash.org for the source ;D
