Updating...

So lots of thing have been going on.

First of all, band things are going awesome, yesterday we had this gig at Pub 592, and I'd say it was a total success. Well, besides of my damn guitar breaking strings again (damn you guitar, i hate you but you are so beatiful...), and some mistakes (i totally fucked up a song because of me breaking strings), everything went smooth. It was really nice to see lots of friends there (specially those who knew the songs ;D), so thanks to all of you guys, you rule!

On the other hand, yesterday left me thinking a lot, right now i just can't set up my mind, what to do in the future, I feel like I have no plans anymore, so meanwhile I'll just try to enjoy the moment, and not to worry about what'll come.

So, the club. It was nice, after we ended, the manager was like "hey guys, you have 3 minutes to clear up the stage, so the people can start dancing". He clearly didn't give a damn about the bands, he just wanted us to finish early so he could set up the party. What a dick.

The music was awesome though, it really remined me of Berlin, hearing some britpop and rock stuff made me remember all those nights dancing and having fun there. So while it was nice, it was sad as well. The funny thing is that this club had 3 ambients, one of them kinda normal, but the others were really "alternative", that means, lots of gay people doing gay stuff with their gay partners (the electronic ambient was sooo crowded of just guys haha).

So I had a great time, danced a lot (actually it was like I was the only one who wanted to party), the only bad thing is that the booze was soooo expensive ($1000 for a damn Becker can). Considering that I'm just a student, suddenly i didn't want to drink ;D. And time went flying, before I could even notice it, it was already 4 am, and everyone of my friends went home. Luckily, I got a ride home, so I didn't have to walk the 30 minutes from the club to my apartment.

Anyway, it was nice to have fun, and to kinda revive those Berlin moments... I really miss all of you guys, I'd love to go back in time and go out and stuff, drinking on the S-Bahn, walking for half an hour before deciding that it was too late and go back home, etc. But that's how life goes, at least I know a place now where i can have some serious german fun (well, the gay thingie kinda bothers me, but wtf, worse is to have nothing ;D)

Meanwhile I'll have to catch up on my studies, otherwise I'm so having fucked up vacations ;D

Take care!

Celebrating...

So, it's already the 18th, for those who don't know what the fuck am I talking about, it just happens that September 18th is our National Holday.

The funny thing is that while almost everyone is with their parents, I decided to stay here in Concepcion. The reason? Mmm, i'd love to know why. The only thing i can think about now, and forgive me for saying this, is that the idea of spending these days in the country house wasn't what i thought of. Therefore, and invoking some University duties i have next week (which are sadly true), with my brother we stayed here.

So, you might want to know what crazy stuff I've been into. And here comes the kicker, for I have done almost nothing. Don't get me wrong, i love to do nothing, but maybe this has been too much.
So instead of being at Fondas drinking like there's no tomorrow, and eating empanadas at will (something not that uncommon though), with my bro we've been doing nothing, wasting time, and eating junk food. Imagine that yesterday, when everyone was having barbeques, we were eating Pizza. Yup. Pizza on the 18th. (It was fucking amazing though).

Besides that, I can proudly say that this time in Chile has been really productive regarding new songs for my band. Thinking of 3 new songs in one day isn't something that happens to me every day (or month), so that made me happy.

Speaking of, the things with the band have been kinda sloppy. Today we were supposed to rehearse at Pancho's (our singer), but the cunt is in Temuco with his girlfriend. Until tomorrow.
If we take in count that we have this gig out of town next saturday, and that we haven't had any rehearsals in a long time, we're gonna suck ;D Hopefully, we'll be able to play a couple of hours before the gig...

Anyway, i'm gonna check some other stuff (which is a lie, because i have nothing to do... yay! :D)

So have fun kids,

R.

Life goes on...

So things here have been quite quiet. Besides of me catching this flu/throatache, which made me miss like 70% of the classes this week (well, that's a lie, I wouldn't have gone anyway ;D).

The whole University stuff is being a pain in the ass, mostly because now i have to get my ass up and go to classes, most of them really boring. I mean, courses like "learn how to be a manager" are not the reason why i decided to study Electronic Engineering (well, let's say that i'm still searching for those reasons).

In other news, things with my band have been going smoothly, we're invited to play in Los Angeles (a city a couple of hours away from here), and we actually managed to get a gig for Pub 592 (a really nice pub here), I'm so looking forward to it. The only thing is that now i remembered how expensive music for a hobby is(strings, picks, etc). Now that i don't have 400 €/month i'm poor. And no, getting a job is not an alternative, so I decided to basically get used to it haha.

By the way, I've been uploading more videos to my YouTube collection, and now is Giannis' turn, featuring a nice Greek song.

enjoy.
